Frequently asked questions.

What is Boone?

Boone Trucks is an American truck company developing a simple, durable, capable full-size pickup with a real steel body, a 351 V8, 35-inch tires, dual fuel tanks and physical controls.

How much will a Boone cost?

Target starting prices are $27,000 for the Outlaw Single Cab, $30,000 for the Outlaw Crew Cab, $37,000 for the Highwayman Single Cab, and $40,000 for the Highwayman Crew Cab. Pricing is a target and may change before production.

When will it be available?

A first working prototype is targeted for late 2026 to early 2027, with development through 2027 and a manufacturing target of mid to late 2027. These are targets, not guaranteed dates.

What does the $30 reservation do?

It holds your place in line for the opportunity to order when ordering opens. It is fully refundable, and it is not a purchase, an order, or a contract to buy a vehicle.

Is the reservation refundable?

Yes, 100%. You can get your full $30 back any time before you place a vehicle order, for any reason. Just contact us and the refund goes back to your original payment method.

Can I support Boone without reserving?

Yes. On the reservation page, choose "Just support the build" and pick an amount. Support payments are non-refundable and aren't tax-deductible or an investment. You can also add support on top of a reservation; the $30 reservation itself stays fully refundable.

Can I get updates without reserving?

Yes. Join the build updates list at the bottom of any page. It's free, and you can unsubscribe anytime.

Can I choose my configuration now?

Not yet. You'll choose trim (Outlaw or Highwayman), cab (Single or Crew) and paint (white, black or two-tone) when ordering opens.

What's the difference between the Outlaw and the Highwayman?

Both share the same steel body, 351 V8, 35-inch tires and dual tanks. The Outlaw is the essentials trim with planned cloth seats. The Highwayman is fully loaded with planned leather seats.

Is the Boone body-on-frame?

Yes. Boone is designed as a body-on-frame truck: a steel body mounted on a separate frame that carries the engine, drivetrain and suspension. It's the construction that trucks built for towing and hauling have long relied on.

What engine does it use?

A 351 Ford small-block V8 paired with a modern 6- or 8-speed automatic. The target output is 375+ horsepower, with final figures after testing.

Will there be subscriptions?

Boone is built around ownership. We don't plan to put core features of the truck behind subscriptions.

Are the specifications final?

No. Everything on this site is a development target and may change. Anything not yet decided is marked TBD.
